audio through miniport display DVI

Hi people,

i have just bought a miniport display for my macbook pro and i got the cable to attach i thought i would get sound but no joy. i then got a led that plugs into speaker part and then into the pc but still no joy do i need to enable anything on my macbook please help ???

There is no such thing as a miniport display DVI.
There is no audio or video port called miniport.
What is a miniport display?
You got what cable?
And attached it to what?
led = light emitting diode: it does not carry sound.

It might be best if you provide the info requested in the first post here.

Along with a link if possible for the exact adapter and/or cables you have and we'll see if we can't get you up and running.
