Wanting to change graphics card in a mac pro 3,1. What are my options?

Hello there.

In light of the recent release of steam, I have finally started to game on my Mac Pro, but I got the rather incompetent default graphics card with it. I want to switch chipsets, but I'm not sure what I can use/what drivers there are out there. Im looking for 1gb onboard ram, and I hope I dont have to spend 500+ on an EVGA GTX 285, but if that's my only option I guess I'll have to.
