Maybe a lot of people still like Konfabulator and like free stuff even more...

Why Konfabulator is supposed to be better than Dashboard is beyond me though!

This only really helps Microsoft - they can now claim that Dashboard isn't something unique to OS X, that you can get the same functionality in Windows XP for free.

You answered your own query. It is free and that is the best thing about it.

I like it 'cause i now don't have to shell out $130 to buy tiger.

There is a program called Amnesty which is free which lets you run Dashboard widgets on Jaguar.

Ok sure, I was going on the assumption that Dashboard is standard on every (new) mac, so it's basically "free" as well...

But obviously lots of people still use Panther/Jaguar/older versions of OS X, so it's not really..

It's weird though - I tried Konfabulator a while back, and liked it, but it still didn't feel that useful to me, even after a couple of weeks of playing with it. Dashboard on the other hand has seemed to grow on me much quicker.

Yea I know what u mean, especially coz its so well integrated with the OS, and also the availability of much more widgets on Dashboard than Konfabulator.

But the most beneficial lot would be the ppl on Windows. Free Konfab for them!
