Hi,

Have read the sticky regarding Antivirus virus and firewall, but could someone help regarding the following.

My internet connection access is via a 3 wireless MiFi mobile unit (new on the market this year in the UK), it is security key looked. To this I connect the Macbook, Iphone, Xbox etc sometimes simultaneously if son wants to use.

My question is with this setup do I really need to use the Mac firewall?

You don't need to, but if it makes you feel better, it won't really hurt to.
I would run a shields up test with and without the firewall and make my decision from there!

Hi,

Thank you for the hint, I ran two tests with and without the firewall both passed, this is the port test without the firewall, am now happy to leave the firewall off thank you again for the reassurance.:D:D
