getting a delete button on MacBook pro?

I'm a little disappointed it only comes with backspace. Is there a way to use the Eject button as a delete button, and have it as eject only when SHIFT is held (or something to that effect)?

FN + Delete will delete in front of the cursor. Is this what you are looking for?

FN + Backspace will remove characters right from the cursor -_-
Backspace will remove characters left from the cursor.
