can livestream audio be captured?

I am a rookie here when it comes to itunes.

I don't even know whether what I am asking is legal let alone possible.

If it isn't legal, end of discussion.

Assuming it is legal:

I like to listen to "car talk" out of wbur in boston.

I can bring the link into my itune library and listen to the broadcast. What I would like to do is to capture the audio for listening at a more convenient time for me. If legal, is it possible and how would I accomplish it?

go to versiontracker.com and get either AudioHiJack or WireTap

This is legal as long as you don't distribute it and you only use it for personal listening aka Time shifting

but both programs add "noise" after 10 minutes if its unregistered so your gonna have to register....

The Radio Shark can capture radio programs, too. Mac and PC.
