I bought a new webcam hoping to be able to record class lectures for personal use. I knew the C910 wasn't exactly compatible with Macs, but figured I could find some work around as a plug-n-play device. Unfortunately that hasn't been the case. I can't find any (free) software for video recording that would allow me to do such a thing. I don't need anything fancy. Does anyone have some suggestions for software or ideas for a workaround?
I have a 13" aluminum MacBook with 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running Mac OS 10.6.4 and so far I've tried:
Parallels - video comes out distorted beyond recognition
Quicktime X Player - can't switch from the built-in iSight camera
Photo Booth - wouldn't switch to webcam, but recognized it; second attempt showed success for video recording.
Is this my best option?
