I have a G4 powerbook OS 10.4.2 and a fullsize USB keyboard. I certain applications like Word when I hit the "end" the cursor jumps to te end of the line and to the beginning of the line when I hit the "home" key. This is the behavior I prefer the keys to have in all applications. THis however is not the case.
When i am using Firefox or THunderbird or Safari (for instance), the keys only move the window to the bottom or top respectively. When I am typing in a text box, such as now, the home and end keys it moves the cursor to the top or bottom of the text box. This makes typing more difficult as I have to remove one hand from the keyboard and use the mouse to position the cursor.
Is there a fix to this problem ie. kbd mapping settings?
