This is a very trendy thing a lot of hi-tek companies are doing -- setting up R+D centers in China ----- its a rush to get their feet in the door for Chinese business - and of course the wages are way less for top flight engineers .........

A year is a long restriction - I believe I signed an agreement for 6 months when I left Intel .... but i was just a little fish .....
