Which Mac to buy?

Buying first Mac ever. Need something to edit videos using Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 and Pinnacle Studio 12. Have 2005 Dell with Windows XP sp3. DVD burner quit (again). Also have WD 1T external hard drive. Am considering the Mac 15-inch 2.4 GHz. I'd like to use these with my new Mac. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
It really depends on your budget. The 15" MacBook Pro will be fine for video editing but so will the new iMacs. You get more bang for your buck with an iMac but of course you lose portability. Go to an Apple store or Best Buy and browse around. Try the machines they have there and make up your mind that way.
