Hello Mac people. I just bought an iMac G4. It's not the best, but it's what the economy will allow me to get.

Does anyone know how far I can push this thing with upgrades, OS updates, etc.?

Need to know your iMac G4's processor speed to recommend the max OS...and what it's max ram is.

As far as upgrades...you can only upgrade the ram & hard drive. You cannot upgrade the CPU or the graphics hardware.

If the model in question is over 1GHz, it should still be quite adequate for most tasks.

Please tell us more. What are the specs? If you click on the Apple in the top left corner of the screen and on About This Mac, it will tell you the CPU, RAM and OSX version. Also is it a Desktop? Notebook? All in one mac?

With more info we can better help you with your question.
