OK...it shouldn't really matter (I want it though) but I don't get the water effect on my dashboard? And I have no idea why? Can anyone shed some light? :flower:

Are you using a Mini? because the Mini's graphics chip is not capable of producing the ripple effect.

I'm actually using an older powerbook (maybe 2 yrs. old) but thanks for reminding me about the whole graphics card deal. I guess maybe mine isn't capable of showing that effect. thanks.

Yeah you need a 'Core Image' compatible graphics card (basically most cards with at least 64MB Ram).

I see it all the time at work though and it gets real boring after a while IMO.

CoreImage compatibility is not a matter of VRAM, but the GPU itself. The minimum requirements for CoreImage is either the ATI Radeon 9600, or the nVidia Geforce FX5200. Anything below is not CoreImage compatible, even with 128MB VRAM.
