Hi there...
Not sure if this is the right forum, but help needed as I am close to committing murder!
I have a G5 imac and connected to the net via cable as I have no Airport. Had all the bits and bobs checked, speed test (top of the range allegedly) and was upgraded to the fibre optic thingy a few weeks back, but for some reason the whole shebang is slower than dial up used to be.
As for watching YouTube clips or BBC iPlayer, well that is a no no.
Even typing things like this can be a pain.
I live in east London, so it's not as if I am in the Highlands of Scotland and connectivity is the problem.
Both my kids have lap tops and they work perfectly.
I was wondering if there is a settings problem that I may not be aware of?
Any help will be most welcome.
Cheers in advance.

This is the one clue that the problem may not be internet related.

When was the last time:

- you repaired permissions?
- how full is your hard drive?
- how much ram does your computer have?
- what OS version are you running?
