Sympathy for my failing HD

Welp, I knew my HD was failing for a while now, but just recently, it turned for the worst.. I get the message from my disk utility that I should backup all my files and hope for the best... or something like that.

So that means im in the market for an external HD! which I will buy tomorrow, sigh*

Are you saying that you ran the disk utility program, and told you to back up your data.

I gota seagate after work today... its crazy, i just copied all my files over, what I could.. and its like i have a booster shot for my mac.. its running alot faster than it was.

What mac did you have again? If you're getting a new internal drive you might want to get something with 7200rpm - it definitely helps!

ive gota external, im not going to bother installing an internal in my iMac the external is 7200rpm neways.

But it'll clutter up your desk!
