I am a college student and our laptops have to be configured in order to connect to the wireless internet on campus. I was wondering if there was any way that I could look at the settings on my laptop (MacBook Pro) that is configured to the network, and figure out the settings so I could configure my iPod and other friends computers and such. I'm not sure if this is possible but if it is, please help! Thanks...

When you setup the wireless connection on your computer, you were given the information, you just use the same information on the other devices..

I wasn't given the information to set up the network configuration. I had to had my computer over to the I.T. Department for them to do it.. So is there anyway that I can get the required information off of this computer to use for other devices?

Most of the crucial settings are in TCP/IP. Also check the DNS settings. Some universities might also have some custom proxy settings too.

Surely your school has the information available on their website. What is the URL for your school webpage?

Wow..that seems like a colossal waste of IT's time to setup each students computer..but whatever, just call them and ask for the info..it's not like it's a secret..:)
