My wireless seems to drop out very frequently. The Airport shows that it is 'connected' with a strong signal but I am not reaching the internet. I turn the Airport off then on again from the Network settings or the bar at the top of the screen and I'm back in business. Nuisance.
I have several laptop and wireless devices connected to my router (Linksys 300 flashed with DDWRT) and I'm not experiencing any issues with them. Distance to the router is less than 30' through 1 wall.
I had the OSX firewall on, but turned it off for troubleshooting without effect.
I deleted my preferred network and rebuilt it without effect.
Tried Firefox, Safari, Camino to see if it was browser related without effect.
Loving the big ole' iMac...Camino without ads is what the internet is supposed to look like.
