Hello,

I have some graphic issues when running some programs in Windows 7 / Parallels 5. Can anyone tell me, do I have to install the drivers for the graphics card used by my mac myself?

I have an iMac which uses the ATI Radeon HD 5750

Thanks for any advice =]

Parallels uses its own emulated graphics drivers. Installing drivers for the 5750 won't work. If your graphic performance is poor, you probably need to run Windows 7 natively using a Boot Camp partition and dual boot setup.

I see. Is it possible to access the 'Hardware Acceleration' toggle if Parallels operates like this?

It's only a small issue isolated to one program so I hoped it wouldn't need such a drastic solution as starting over on bootcamp.

As I stated in my first reply, you're limited to what's provided by the Parallels emulation mode for the VM. Parallels has improved overall video performance in their latest release (5.0) but as far as I know there is still no hardware acceleration feature as in native Windows.

Regards.
