It's pretty telling that days after being called out to show any proof of their accusations, neither news organization has been able to do so.

I can't begin to imagine an Apple engineer knocking on my door- of course, I don't have an iPhone, so I guess I shouldn't say "I can't". If Apple is deadly serious about this, then I can't imagine that any other company can come this close to professional "one to one" courtesy.

I can't imagine an Apple employee/engineer talking to any publication on the workings of any product unless they don't like their job.

And even if the Apple employee did not like the job, the NDA they signed would ensure the employee was quiet about whatever he is working on for fear of being in legal trouble with Apple. That's in trouble if the employee did open their mouth.

So for that reason I don't think any Apple employee would talk about the workings of any unreleased product.

Ok Steve explain how moments after the antenna issue was publicized Apple had bumpers to sell. Spending a year Apple can't get the antenna design right but in mere days was able to design and manufacturer perfect fitting bumpers.

Um......

The Bumper was announced at the same time the iPhone 4 was announced months ago.

Yeah, we wouldn't want Apple expanding their market or anything. :\

I don't know about this one. Isn't it possible that the bumpers were developed/created in response to their knowing about antenna issues prior to launch? It does seem to be a product designed with the primary purpose being that of preventing fingers from contacting the antenna.

No, it's not possible.

Or how about it was developed to help protect the edges from hard bumps and dings along with preventing both faces from coming into direct contact with another surface when you set it down.

It's incomprehensible to me that the Gray Lady would make stuff up - they have a sterling reputation:

That probably should be past tense. They used to be the publication that one read for the truth in news. But like Walter Cronkite, those days are long gone. The NYT as of late has been acting like a supermarket publication.

Regards.

One side a Corporation, the other a media outlet... It's hard to choose a shooter out of the two. I'd tend to believe neither source.
