Hi All:

So, I am trying to connect my PC (Windows XP) through a wireless connection. The wireless is initially set up to be used with a mac. I have the mac password and the network is appearing on my pc account, however, when I enter the password it gives me this error message: "the network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ASCII characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters"....

Can someone please help and let me know what to do?

Thanks a lot in advance!

It sounds like windows is looking for a WEP key - I know with certain versions of windows XP and wireless cards you needed to install drivers that allowed WPA or WPA 2. Do you know if your wireless router is set to WEP or WPA? Also what service pack on XP are you running?
