If I see an image on a webpage and I want to e-mail that image, in Windows I'd just right click and choose e-mail image and it will default to my e-mail client.

I don't seem to be able to perform this task in Snow Leopard and Safari as there is no option to e-mail image.

I have resorted to saving the image to the downloaded items folder and then e-mailing the said image from there.

How should I be doing this, as the method I'm using see a bit long winded.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if there is a way to right-click, but you can drag an image onto a new message in the mail application that comes with all Macs.

Hope this helps.

If you drag that image to your desktop, it will appear there as an image file. Then you can drag that image onto your Mail icon in the Dock and release it. That will open a blank email with the image file inserted in the body of the email.

OR

If you right-click and select "Copy", you can Paste it into an email that way. Probably the faster method of the 2.

Of course, if you simply want to email someone the image link, you can drag the image from the web page onto the Mail icon in the Dock and release it. That creates a new blank email with the image's hyperlink in the body of the email. Sort of the same thing except the recipient has to click the link to see the image.

Your choice. :)

Tip: Mac is all about drag-and-drop - always try to drag-and-drop for productivity, before going the Windows route of right-clicking.

Thanks for the tips, still coming to terms with all this dragging.

There's also gotta be a 3rd party app that will add a right click menu option for you.
