Importing File from Scanner

Mac mini 2.6GHz i5 8GB RAM 1TB HDD OSX Yosemite
Using my mac what program do I use (numbers, pages, etc.) to import something from my HP 6210 printer/scanner? It's gonna be a bunch of numbers...

Try Preview. Under File/Import from Scanner.
You did install the drivers right?

Like cradom said you could use Preview. However if you have an HP all in one printer it should come with it's own software.

When I hooked up my wife's all-in-one J4540, the HP site said OS X had the drivers already, just use it.
Of course it didn't work - so I dl'ed the drivers and installed. Worked fine so I never looked in the HP folder in Applications.
Just looked and well I'll be....
The only thing the installer put in the dock was the Util app to check ink levels.
