I named my HD Hillary Douglass (my dog's name) since her initials are HD. :mac:
I also named a folder after my cat. But I renamed my HD to The One because I had a Matrix "rush". :alien:

my internal is named Impact, as in Impact Graphics©, my external hd is named after my niece Jasmine. I think the default "Macintosh HD" is sorta boring, like I don't know what it is, like labeling the pc POS.lol.

mines set to default for compatibility. some programmers :cough: graphite :cough: choose to use absolute paths in programs, which could cause issue/errors if the defined path doesnt match.

I just renamed the one on my the other day iMac and much to my horror today I noticed it screwed up all 25+ of my Dreamweaver site settings... They were all hardcoded to "Macintosh HD"... BLAST!

I have several names.

I have 2 portable Hard Drives. One is namded Andera after Uma Thurman's character in the film Beautiful Girls. My other portable HD is aptly named Music cause its 180 gigs of music.

My main hard drive, i'm still thinking about. Maybe Vyvyan?
