I spent a fair amount of time creating a set of folder icons in Photoshop. I've done plenty of Googling, and know what to do in order to make them usable as icons. They were all saved as 512x512 px .png files, and then put through Icon Composer and Pic2Icon. When I set them as the icons for folders, they were noticeably smaller than the other folders. I've tried every combination of order and size I can think of, and they always come out small. Does anyone have an explanation?

**It's entirely possible that the answer is really obvious and I've simply missed it. I'm far from a graphic specialist in any respect, and I won't be offended in the slightest if it's a simple fix. :p

Donno, in what DPI are you designing the icons?
For application icons, you should make sure that the icon family includes images up to 512 x 512 pixels. At the very least, the icon family should contain artwork for 1x (128 x 128, 72 dpi) and 4x (512 x 512, 288 dpi) sized images. -Apple Guidelines
