Have a cdrw I want to prepare for read/write. Right now I can burn files to it but it finalized and can't add to it. I guess it still treat it as a cd-r. How do you prepare a cdrw to be rewrite able. MBP 13" Snow Leopard.

Thanks

This is one thing that OS X is not very good at. In order to do multiple burning or re-writing (multi-session recording) effectively on a CDRW or a CDR, I recommend third party software. I use BurnX Free 1.5 However, the results are not very elegant.

If you have a Windows computer or are dual booting with Windows, I recommend using one the many free burn programs that are available. Most easily do multi-session burning and do it in an elegant way.

And in case you're wondering, multi-session recording to DVD media is not supported in OS X. It is in Windows.

Regards.
