Every year on iPhone day I have always used Gizmodo & Endgadget's blogs, that way they can filter out all the B.S. I don't care about and and get down to the good stuff.

I understand your point. However, i really enjoy the whole session of the Keynote (same goes for the Nintendo/Sony/MS Press-conferences on E3/Gamesconvention/Tokyo GameShow)

Did I miss something, or did they not mention the Mac at all throughout the entire presentation?

Maybe the iPhone is enough of a thrill for most people, but I could care less (until it's available on a real carrier).
