I just purchased a new power plug for my iPhone. I didn't realize that the plug comes with a USB cord so I purchased a cord along with the charging plug. I guess I should have read the "what's in the box" section a little more carefully. The advertising is a bit misleading because the picture shows the usb adapter by itself (w/o a cable).

Moral of the story? I ended up buying the adapter AND and a spare cable. So imagine my surprise when I received the adapter and realized that there was a cable paired with it. Now I have two usb cables and I'm out the the cost of the spare cable.

Does Apple purposely not show the cable and the adapter together for the exact same reason that I got duped? Not sure. But, it makes you wonder.

If you're thinking about buying a spare power adapter for your iPhone in the near future, know that it comes with a spare cable.

Regards,

joe

Sorry you spent the extra money on the cable but it sure is handy to just have one to keep with your computer ....

Got to be honest though , this looks pretty clear to me....

I have to agree with Clay on this one, it seems pretty clear to me. But also, like Clay said, it is ALWAYS good to have a spare USB cable for your computer & devices.

And it looks clear to me as well- now.

When I went searching for the part, that's what I saw. There was really no need for me to read the specs.

My point is how hard would it be to show a coiled cable along side the charger plug? Should I have read the specs a little more carefully? Yes- and I stated that.

And I bet I'm not the only one that this has happened to.

Not trying to flame here, but why pay Apple $29 for the plug, when you can get the exact same plug on Ebay or Amazon $5.00-$10.00 ??

I agree with Clay and Macguy you can never have too many iPhone/iPod/iPad USB cables I buy mine in bulk 5 at a time that way if a friend or someone needs one.
