Fluid used to be a regular mod here but hasn't shown up in a while so instead of being placed back into the general population he has some dumbed down mod abilities

dumbed down? doesn't sound good, I used to see him a lot, then he was here less and less, and then gone.

Let's persude him back! I've got a stash of Clark bars and Whatchamacallits. Does he like... Kool-Aid? Eh? *nods head*

So inactive members are culled after a year but inactive mods live forever? They could be called vapor-mods? Speaking of members; I noticed the membership counter is fast approaching 7,000. Is that a new high for members?

if you think about it, every time a new member joins, its a new high record.

Actually, I noticed membership dropped at one point. It reached over 6,200 and then dropped below 6,000, perhaps as inactive members were removed. I asked about 7,000 because I've seen nothing on the forums to indicate what the highest membership has been.

yup. all of us mods have been inactive for over a month in the past. It only seems fair that inactive mods get to keep their names forever and return to become a moderator if they feel like it. Think of the problem could occur if a mods name was erased and someone else took it...

the only mod we actually removed was gatorparrots.. most the members dont remember him, ide be surprised if some of the mods remember him. he hasnt been around in forever. He was a mod years ago when we had a single mod for every forum... those were the little days ;)
