Hi there,

I have someone that is looking to get into Macs and has asked me a few questions that I'm not sure of. The first is if a Mac can connect to a windows domain controller on Windows Server 2003. He wants to know if the Mac will honour the permissions and passwords and so on, user rights etc. Does anyone know where I could look for more information? Also what is the best terminal emulation program for OS X, to connect to VT100 or anything like that? Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
12" Apple PowerBook G4 (1.5GHz)
I haven't used this myself, but the place to start is the Directory Access utility (in /Applications/Utilities/).

There's more info in the Directory Access Help menu

[EDIT: Here's Apple's glossy on Mac-Windows interoperability]
