its interesting that Apple will reject "award winning" cartoons, but there are hundreds of farting apps and other stupid apps.

Nor really it all makes sense. Apple have to want to ever make a fart app. So that's no lost future revenue. But for a good App, there could be lost future revenue and that's why they are picky in what the allow. Well that's my rationale for it.

But for rejecting award winning comics and stuff like that is absurd. As I doubt Apple will ever go into the comic book writing business.

It's called censorship. They rejected it with the reason that it was making fun of well know people. And as is stated in the article, that's what political comics are all about; satire and caricature.

Ok I see your point but why are the same comics/cartoons found in printed newspapers but can't be in the appstore. Makes no sense. But I agree with you totally. Apple don't want to be seen as pro or against any political figure. I'm sure Apple want to be left well out of that line of debate.

Because newspapers ask to put the comics in their papers, not the other way around. Newspapers censor as well, fyi. Each day they don't just slap on a random comic. It is looked over to make sure it is "PC". Apple doesn't have the liberty of being able to do that, and thus they cannot have it altogether.

What about all those times you really need to fart but there is no gas left in the tank? For those very akward moments, a fart app would be a life saver.
