My wife currently has a:

Power mac G5
dual 1.8ghz cpu's
memory 768mb
Nvidia FX5200
80GB HDD
running mac os 10.3.9

We are looking at a mac mini to replace the tower for a few reasons:

1. Need wireless N capability (her current setup can only use like a b or g airport card which we tried and it would not reach our router)
2. She also wants to upgrade her current software ie. Quark Express, Adobe Illustrator, Quickbooks...
3. Plus the new system would already come with the latest OS

here are the hardware specs of the mac mini:

2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB memory
160GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Both of us are Mac noobies so I am just wondering if there would be any hardware requirements that this would not meet for the latest editions of the software listed.

Thanks in advance for any responses :)

The Mac Mini will run latest software. Your problem may well be the limited hard drive size, however an external drive would overcome that.
