I ran across this article while reading the tech section of the San Francisco Chronicle. What is the world coming to? I really can't wait for that day when I will tell my children's children about the Jetsons (Astro & Elroy)

The show is a nice future when I was made. But now most of the stuff in it happens already.

The Japanese have already invented robots that look like people and can chat and repond to some human emotions. And flying cars? Well I'm sure a plane/car hybrid could be made these days. it's be really expensive though.

But I get your point though. Those things are not every day items yet.
