Hi all
I have the 27" quad i5 and after a month and a half of having fun with my first ever Mac I have already forgotten about my old PC.

Anyway the magic mouse is being weird. I have got new batteries in it just to be sure,
What it does but not all the time, is when I move the mouse the cursor only moves a few pixels at a time. The when I finally get it down the system preferences click on the mouse settings then just move the setting marker around then back to the fast setting where it was it works fine for a while.

Then Hours or a day later it will do it again. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks For All Your Help.

Try this:

1. Go to /System Preferences/Bluetooth and delete the magic mouse. (Have a USB mouse plugged in and ready to take over.)

2. Next go to User/Library/Preferences and delete the apple.com.mmouse.plist file. It will rebuild with default values when you reboot.

3. Reboot.

4. Go to /System Preferences/Bluetooth and reinstall the magic mouse.

5. Go into /System Preferences/Mouse and reset your preferences.

That might solve the problem.
