transferring itunes from pc to mac via ethernet

Hi im a new mac user and was wondering what the simplest way to move my itunes songs form my pc to my new macbook pro. ive searched the internet but all i can find is in depth complicated descritptions as to wot to do. id greatly appreciate it if someone could talk me through it step by step. thanks a lot :)

"Assuming" both computers are connected to your home network...

The easiest way is to make sure you're up to iTunes 9 on both machines and turn on the newest feature of Homesharing and then it's a simple drag and drop. (The only exception I've found so far is for Audible books that have to be moved manually.)
