Windows XP on Mac

I'm pretty new to the game...and this should be an easy one. I have just installed Windows XP on my new 15" Macbook Pro 2.8 through bootcamp: isn't there a key that I can press during start-up that will allow me to choose Windows or Snow Leopard directly? Thanks in advance.

Is there a mod around here? Shouldn't we make "Installing Windows on Mac" a sticky? I am sure it will help a lot of switchers, just my 2 cents...

got it saw it... A link in this sub forum would help too as most switchers hang in here more than other sub sections, just a thought...

I'd like to know how many actually use Windows? I had it at initial 'Switch' but dumped it as I had everything I needed w/in Mac...IMHO, windows is USELESS now.

It's a simple page on Apple's site all about installing and using Bootcamp and windows. And I think it's a must read for all Mac users. (And even though the link says 10.5, it still all applies to 10.6).

Still quite a few folks who own a Mac are using Windows. Many of us are in jobs which require the use of Windows - as it is still the dominant OS of the government, educational institutes, and corporate world.

As far as using it at home along with OS X, it depends.... Games and speciality software (not available for OS X) are the biggest reason for using Windows.

I have a mac and a pc in addition to the work laptop on me... as chscag mentioned it, windows is not going down for a while as everyone else is using the same...
