sound card solution

I've got the last g4 model and am looking to buy some 5.1 speakers. Any ideas for cheap soundcards. Is the 70 dollar model the cheapest you can go. Any other ideas?

If you're looking for 5.1 then I wouldn't want to go for the cheapest hardware, you'd be better off getting a half decent 2.1 for the same price as a cheap 5.1 and I guarantee it would sound much better.

I was going to get a £55 external sound card and a £60 set of Logitech 5.1 speakers, I went into our local PC World to see what they were like and decided there and then that my money would be spent else where, spent £110 on some Harman/Kardon Soundsticks II 2.1 and no sound card and never looked back.
