If I remember correctly with iWork08, I installed the entire package and then removed what I didn't need. It was just a matter of dragging Numbers and Keynote to the Trash. I'm not sure if the iWork installation routine allows for separately installing only Pages - it's been some time ago when I installed iWork08 and seem to remember the entire package had to be installed first.

Regards.

Why remove any part of iWork? Sure, maybe all you want is to use Pages today, but next month, you may want to use Numbers. At least it'll be there.

Pete, are you short on hard disk space?

Deleting Numbers and Keynote is going to save only about 400MB.

No, I don't think I'm short of disk space. Frankly, I don't know how to use the other two programs - so, why keep stuff that is not going to be used. Thanks for asking.

At 92 I'm thankful that I know how to turn this thing on and off, Thanks, mate.

I only hope I will make it to see 92, much less still have enough brain to use a computer. I hardly have enough left now to use one due to the misadventures of my troubled youth.

This contraption keeps me out of "trouble", and my mind active enough to keep the rest of me moving. Thanks for your kindness.

Pete, you might be shocked to know that Microsoft reports that the #1 use for its Excel spreadsheet program (Numbers is Apple's version) is to make lists! You don't have to know how to set up formulas to make good use of a spreadsheet. The structure for putting things in rows and columns is built in, and it's lots easier than using 'tab' in Pages would be.

Good to know, my grocery list comes to mind - I'll look into it. Thanks.
