I have the 17" Powerbook, and I have been dissapointed in some of the screen ratios for both regular and widescreen DVDs. On my widescreen Sony TV, I can set the ratio/zoom of the screen to different things (ie. Wide Zoom, Zoom, Standard....). Is there any DVD player or other utility that will let me do this on my mac?

have you tried using the zoom available in universal access? or maybe try playing dvd's using vlc?

I tried the Zoom feature watching a WideScreen version of "The Aviator" earlier, and it was better, but still a bit of a pain in the neck to use. I'll have to try vlc yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
