has anybody used Q to run windows on a mac? it's free, which is what interests me, but I don't see windows 7 support for it. Does it work ok? I was considering buying parallels with the student discount, but free is much better for me

Yes, on my G4 it runs win2k at ok speed, but thats on a ppc machine, since parallels is for intel I assume you have intel? If so,try virtualbox instead, it isn't a CPU emulator as is Q.
