I think that's his keynote uniform. If he wears that outside of keynote presentations then that's another issue. I think that's just the image he wants to portray to the world. He is a bit of a control freak so it makes sense.

He's also a guy. If it were not for women we would never change our clothes. LOL ;) Besides how would you recognize him if he dressed differently? That's like changing a brand logo. Steve Jobs is Apple's walking logo. :)

I've seen pics of him in the seventies with the same brutal mock-turtle neck shirt, so yes - I believe so.

How do you know the SL55 is his MB? I find it hard to believe he'd drive that.

It's been pretty well documented over the past couple of years.
He's infamous for not having a license plate and parking in handicap spots.


If you look at it, How many CEO' wear Tshirt and jeans to work?
I don't think I have ever seen a pic of him in a suit.

That's pretty much what I was thinking and why I thought he was trying to portray an image. If he's wearing the exact same thing everywhere he goes then that's a different issue...

I have worn Levi's and Tee Shirts since I was a kid. I still to this day wear them. Different colors sometimes but I have been to even church with a nice looking tee shirt and my Levi's. I feel Comfortable in those cloths. What can I say.

And No, I don't know Steve nor have never met him. I don't drive a Mercedes either but like them. I would never park in a handicapped spot either unless I was disabled.

The Benz with no plate I think it such a standard thing at Apple that they have a special spot for Steve with a handicap logo just for him.

Pretty much every book I have read on Steve Jobs and his life said he drives a Mercedes. The last couple of books I read were by people who were close friends of Steve.

Really it makes no difference what car he drives. It's his business. This is just for the record.

It's obvious why he does not have a flashier car. His $1 a year pay check can not afford it. And if he wrote off a Jag or Ferrari or something for his personal driving as a business expence it'd look really suspect to the auditors of Apple's books. So he's forced to have a car that is not worth 500K so Apple books can look legit.

cuhnool, I wasn't thinking the car was TOO high valued, acutally UNDER valued for a man with his profile. I am very well versed in european cars - especially MB's and stated my post because the 55 is a bit dated now...the BS is way too overstated for him though.

I'm surprised it's not an E63 wagon haha

They were in the neighbourhood of $120k USD depending on options. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, was expensive at the time, I was just surprised he was driving a 2006... :)

I saw this on the internet. Apparently it's a photo of Steve Jobs in a tux at the Oscar Awards held on Sunday. So apparently he has at least two sets of clothing. ;)
