Backing Up Song And Data Onto A Dvd?

This might be a stupid question but can i back up songs and data on to a dvd. dvd's can hold 4.7gb of data. can i just back up my itunes library onto a dvd?

Yes you can. It is easiest to do everything separately. If you go in iTunes prefernces under burn and select Data DVD or CD and burn the whole library then when you put the DVD in a computer it will show up in iTunes like an audio cd except with all of your playlists and songs
