I'm talking, of course, of Steve Jobs.

I always thought it rhymes with "robes," kind of like the Book of Job in the Bible...but I sometimes hear people say "Jobs," as in "I have two jobs and I'm still in huge debt." Either way, I've never actually heard Steve himself pronounce his own name....so which is it??

According to Merriam-Webster's dictionary, it's pronounces like jobs (o as in mop). ;) I've never considered or heard his name being pronounced otherwise.

I have many interviews with Steve himself and he says JOBS like in getting a job. Woz once says Jobs like the bible job but if Steve says it Jobs like in a job, then I am sure that is what it is.

Point taken, but I once knew two guys who were brothers, and each pronounced his last name differently. :\

Well looking at some people I know I'm not sure why they do not call him god. Cause they worship him like one.

I still can't believe he got a Noble peace prize for "Good intentions." >_>"

Sorry slight derailment. >_<"

If I never heard any pronounce it before...I would pronounce it Job from the bible as well.
