Genius Bar Experience

Last week I had to take my MBP to the Genius Bar. It was actually my first experience making a reservation and going (which was cake, I must say). I'm fortunate to live less than 5 minutes from an Apple Store (and not even in a mall!).
Long story short, I'm having hardware issues with my machine, and they'll have to send it in. I'm well under warranty and not yet annoyed enough to be without it for that long, but that's not why I'm telling you this.

The Genius hands me his card and said, "Look, mull it over and call me if you have any questions." So I took the very minimalistic card and looked it over and said, "Sure thanks. This was pretty easy, and gave me an excuse to come to the store." He laughed and I looked closer at the card, then at him, then at the card again.
I said, "Is your name really Johnny Walker?" It was, indeed.

Service and flirting? How very nice and much, much better than my eighty mile round trip to a Mac dealer and technician and they all got whiskers!

Too bad there are not nearly enough girls working at the genius bar. >_<" Good to hear that you had a "good" first time experience.

Glad to hear you had a good experience and you are very lucky that you live so close to an apple store.

Why am I not surprised? I've seen those guys offer jobs on the spot to women who came in because they couldn't operate a browser

Neither have I. And whats more in my city women outnumber men in the 18-30 age group more than 2 to 1.

Well, I feel FOOLISH. Didn't even know there was a Blue.
Although, I don't drink Johnny Walker so it's not that surprising to me. When it comes to whiskey, I'm either Jim Beam (if I'm mixing it) or Jameson (straight up).

The blue is 100 or so a bottle ! I am a Jim Beam Black man myself.

I can't do whiskey myself. Tequila is my drug of choice...although it convinces me to do silly things I can't explain later.

Oh i love the tequila but just cant do it ! It makes me think i am dr dolittle and I start talking to the animals !

ya it really has taken a turn.

Genius Bar = Restaurant Salad Bar = Nice! Good!

When I first took my MBP to the Genius Bar, everything went so smoothly - well, almost, because I had a problem burning DL DVD's in the Windows XP side, and the Geniuses told us they're not allowed to touch the windows side. But I did get a good chance to buy Comic Life Deluxe for OS X (after eliminating windows XP from my mac) while there, and the words" Genius Bar" makes me think of going to the salad bar at a nice restaurant as I never, ever, ever go to a liquor bar to drink liquor.
