Safari - Can't connect to server

I am having roughly the same issue. I am running Safari 4.0.4 and Leopard 10.6.2 when i go to about.com the following appears:Safari can’t connect to the server.
Safari can’t open the page “Welcome to About.com because Safari can’t connect to the server “www.about.com”.
The special part is the same things happens in firefox.

That sounds like it a temporary problem with the about.com server. I just opened it on Safari with no trouble. Try again. I'm assuming that you can connect to other web sites without any trouble.
