Snow Leopard and RAW images on DVD

i cant seem to open RAW and Tiff images from DVDs since i upgraded to
Snow Leopard.
my os says that the DVD is empty.
The DVD works fine on all my other macs that are older op systems.


any ideas ?

The problem may not be with your system it may be with the DVD. I've seen this before on both PC and Mac systems. For some reason the CD/DVD wont read on one machine yet does on another. I suspect the SL system is having trouble reading the TOC table hence the "Empty Disk".

Try reading another DVD, it'll probably be OK. You may have to burn the problem DVD again. This time try burning at a slower speed. i.e if you have an 8X burn rate try 4X.

I had a similar problem when a CD I burnt on my 11 month old MBP couldn't be read on a 4 year old iBook. re-burnt the CD and no problem
