TAS3004 on a PowerPC G4 notebook, stereo or mono?

I have a 1.5 Ghz PowerPC G4 notebook, with a TAS3004 sound card, according to the System Profiler. It says I have left and right controls on the mic/line input. However, when i got to the systems preference > sounds, it is only showing mono.

what gives? I want to connect a cassette deck to the notebook so I can convert my cassettes to CDs. I'd rather be able to do it in stereo. What additional information is needed to help facilitate determining whether or not I can do this?
