Have you tried a magic mouse yet?
I have read a lot about how they are difficult to use and not worth the while.
But then again I have never been a fan of Apple's mice.
My hand is not a mitten and I like to be able to do more than one feature without having to use the keyboard.

As long as you have the latest 10.5 installed (10.5.8) and allow software update to update the drivers, the Magic Mouse will work fine. If it's 10.4 then just Left and Right click as far as I know.

I have no issues using my magic mouse at all. I do not have really large hands though. Best thing to do it spend some time with one at an Apple Store.

I am quite sure there will be NO drivers that support 10.5.8 Leopard with an MM2. I will go check Apple and see what the minimum OS version is. I am sure Left Click will work but not any of the scrolling or other features with that old a version of OSX.

This is straight from Apple.

System Requirements
Bluetooth-enabled Mac computer with OS X v10.11 or later

"Yes it is" - what? Obviously, your G4 is not supported.

Why even bother, even if it part of it might somehow work???

Just use a proper working mouse, MS or Logigtech models come to mind and a heck of a lot cheaper.
