Hello, I just recently purchased a powerbook g4 fairly cheap. I thought it was a cheap way to try mac. I like it so far. Of course I already want up grade it. I have some of the threads about upgrades. I know theirs not much i can do it.

My upgrades I want to do.

Os 10.5.8 (man the full install disc are high 200.00 on ebay!)
Bigger hard drive. mines only a 40g
Don't know about the optical drive to a superdrive yet.

I can see some more macs in the future.

what processor speed is it?

The G4 Powerbook was the first Apple machine that I got to mess around with as well.

Thanks! I'm already wanting MP or MBP! Where can I get a 10.5.6 install disc for a reasonable price?

There are some up on eBay for about $150.

if you found a set to bid on you could probably get a deal for 110-120

Also craigs list might have some if thats an option in your area.

To be honest, I am not really sure if 150-200 dollars is worth it for 10.5

10.5 is already outdated, and so is your notebook.

I would save up and buy a newer notebook, MBP, MB etc.
