Im an Apple newbie. I just switched to mac and got a new iPod and Im having a bit of trouble with it. I was able to transfer songs from iTunes to iPod but I cant seem to do it the other way. What should I do?

youre not allowed to do it the other way. its apple's way of controlling music sharing. but there are programs out there that you can use to backup your music to your computer. the best one ive found is iPodRip (outdated link removed)... it's worth the $9

Or if you know where the invisible files are on your iPod, you can find them with a trial version of FileBuddy. you can just make the folders all visible, pop your iPod in grab the files you want and be on your way
