Software worked for an hour but now quits. Why?

My MacBookPro is running OS 10.4.8 and I've installed some software - Fuji Hyper Utilities HS-V2 Version 3.0. I installed it from the original CD, it lasted a fraction of a second before quitting. I downloaded and installed the updater from Fuji and then it worked for an hour and then quit. I've tried reinstalling and re-downloading everything but it now opens and lasts a second before quitting every time. I haven't installed anything else subsequently. Anyone got any ideas?

According to the Fuji Film page for that product, you should be running at least 10.4.10. Update OS X and see if that solves the problem.

Vansmith, according to page you mention, the updater is good for anything between 10.3.9 and 10.4.10 (assuming the comma means "to"). That also doesn't answer the question of why it ran for an hour the first time round though.

My guess is that it doesn't mean 10.3.9 to 10.4.10. If it did, it probably would have been represented with a dash or "to". You should have the latest updates installed anyway.

It doesn't necessarily explain why it ran for an hour and then crashed but updating could very well fix the problem.
