Hi all,
I have a file in my home folder that has all of my passwords in it. I have both the folder that it's in and the file itself hidden (with a "." at the beginning). The file is also password-protected. You need a specific password to open it. The thing is, I have the file and its enclosing folder both hidden with a "." at the beginning. This is only hidden to Macs. Not Windows PCs.

What do I do to a filename that would make it a "hidden" file in Windows? Or is there such a thing?

Thanks in advance.

In Windows Explorer: Right click on the file, select properties. Place a check in the attribute box that states "hidden". While you're at it, place a check in the box that states "read only".

Regards.
